CYCLING: Oxonian's Chris Edginton lifted the Giles Cycles Shield after winning the 'Oxford to Henley and back' time trial.
The 40-year-old from Witney covered the 39-mile course in 1hr 39mins 43secs to beat teammate Peter Oliver (1.40.45).
They were followed home by Paul Granger (1.41.35), Neil Johnson (1.42.31) and the improving Malcolm Rose (1.45.51).
Oxford University's Jesse Elzinga landed the Mid Oxon CC ten-mile promotion on the Witney A40 course in 20mins 12secs. Teammate Anton Blackie was second in 21.15 with Oxford City's Asa Adey third in 22.05.
