CRICKET: Aston Rowant ran out undefeated winners in the Oxfordshire round of the Under 15 Lady Taverners competition.
They now progress to the South West Regional finals in Chippenham.
The eight-a-side competition was decided on a league basis at Cokethorpe School.
Rowant beat Charlbury by 19 runs in the first game.
Rowant scored 81-5, before Elspeth Walker took four wickets in Charlbury's reply of 62-6.
The second game saw them narrowly defeat Freeland by 12 runs.
In the third and final game, Rowant posted 75-5, before Hook Norton finished seven runs short on 69-3.
Top wicket-taker of the day was Freeland's Rhian Todd, who took six wickets, while Abigail Flory (Freeland) and Smith (Aston Rowant) scored 52 runs in total.
