THE Oxford Mail player ratings after Oxford United cruised past Fleetwood Town with a 3-0 win in Sky Bet League One.
JAMES BEADLE
Not a save to make on what was a very comfortable afternoon for the teenager – 6.5
SAM LONG
Got forward into good areas, this evident by how high up the pitch he was for the opening goal – 7
ELLIOTT MOORE
Dealt with the threats provided by Jayden Stockley and Jack Marriott with ease – 7
JORDAN THORNILEY
His inclusion over Stephan Negru raised eyebrows but he didn’t put a foot wrong all afternoon – 7
CIARON BROWN
Saw a cheeky backheeled effort hit the post and was a solid presence in the back four – 7
MARCUS MCGUANE
Kept things ticking over in midfield but he was much quieter than at other times this season – 7
CAMERON BRANNAGAN
Hit the outside of the post with a fierce effort and was busy throughout the game – 7.5
STANLEY MILLS
A brilliant strike to open the scoring and then showed flashes of his dribbling ability later in the game – 8
RUBEN RODRIGUES
Takes a lot of fouls with his skills and direct playing style. More in final third is still required, but will surely come – 7
KYLE EDWARDS
His goal was arguably the pick of the bunch, to cap a very impressive display. Unpredictable when running with the ball and must be a nightmare for defenders. MAN OF THE MATCH – 8
BILLY BODIN
Produced a clever finish to double the lead and did well in leading the United attack – 8
“Josh had a slight twinge in training on Tuesday, nothing that we’re worried about, but I was a little apprehensive about starting him.”
