Witney United are set to sign talented midfielder Andy Styles from FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division rivals Bicester Town.
Should he, as expected, put pen to paper, Styles would be the second player to leave Bicester for Witney in the space of a week following the departure of defender Lee Henderson.
Henderson, 18, started out with Oxford United, but after being released he joined Bicester for whom he made 30 appearances last season.
On Wednesday, Witney boss Andy Lyne raided another Hellenic club, when he snapped up former Oxford City centre back Andy Wallbridge from Wantage Town.
Wallbridge, 34, made 32 appearances for the Alfredians last season where he was was player/assistant manager.
"Andy is a highly respected figure throughout Oxfordshire non-league football," said Lyne.
"He's one that rare breed of player who just loves the art of defending."
Lyne said he was delighted to sign Henderson, adding: "Lee is arguably one of the best young defenders in the county, and I know there were a fair few clubs in for him.
"I did try and sign him last season, but he showed great loyalty to Bicester and manager Tim Fowler."
Fowler added: "I'm disappointed to lose them, but in our position we are open to predators.
"We did have an option to renew Lee's contract for another year, but we didn't want to stand in his way.
"Andy did very well for me and was my player of the year last season. He's a good, honest lad."
Meanwhile, Bicester have made Paul Spittle, 43, their assistant manager/coach, after he retired from playing.
Fowler paid tribute to Spittle, who has played for a host of county clubs.
"He has had a wonderful career," said Fowler. "He's extremely talented and knows the game inside out.
"Paul's a real student of football.
"In the two seasons he has been here, he has helped steady the ship.
"He will undoubtedly be missed on the field, but his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game is first class and his contribution in his new role will be immense."
Meanwhile, chairman Nick Rowles-Davies has applauded Fowler's decision to remain in charge. He said: "We place a high regard on loyalty and integrity. In addition to his ability to get the best out of players, Tim has shown total honesty and a great work ethic in his time with the Club. I am absolutely delighted."
