Radley's A team were just three points away from a Southern Women's League Premier Division victory as they made the relatively short trip to Perivale.

They were pipped at the post by Colchester, but produced plenty of encouraging performances to secure the runners-up spot.

In the junior section, there were personal bests for the in-form Leanne Spurway, who clocked 12.7secs in the 100m, while Kim Sutherland did likewise in the B string race, crossing the line in 13.3.

Katherina Clitheroe recorded 5.22.1 in the 1500m, while Sophie Henderson threw 13.94m in the javelin.

There were plenty of personal bests at senior level also, with Megan Roberts shining in the 3,000m steeplechase, clocking 11.38.5.

Sarah Dutton cleared 2.10m in the pole vault and she also won the high jump with 1.60m.

Aislinn Baird threw 28.89m in the javelin.

Veteran Adeline Kam threw 31.86m in the hammer.

  • RADLEY B came away with a creditable second place from their long trip to Braunton, North Devon.

The team rattled up ten personal bests.

Gabriella Salmon had a double in the 800m (3.10.7) and 75m hurdles (16.7), while the Dobson sisters, Emily and Olivia grabbed personal bests in the javelin (16.05m) and 200m (29.9) respectively.

Further personal bests came from Emma Godfrey in the high jump (1.25m), while Natalie Welsh knocked off a massive 16 seconds from her 1500m best.

In the senior section, Jenna Grace clocked 2.43.4 in the 800m and Rachel Hancox threw 18.17m in the javelin.

Veteran Angela Godfrey threw 18.01m in the hammer.
