Cumnor fans can expect more batting fireworks if they progress in the npower Village Cup.
That is the view from tail-enders Ayaz Khan and captain Carl Thompson, who unleashed a barrage of sixes in their first national round victory over Cranborne.
The duo threw their bats to great effect after coming in at No 8 and 9 respectively and will look to do the same at home to Marshfield in the last 16.
Ayaz said: "No matter what happens, I won't change my style."
Thompson added: "We know each other well and enjoy opening the bowling together.
"It is nice to be able to help the opening batsmen out if they struggle.
"If we can perform like that as a team, then who knows how far we can go?"
Cumnor recovered from 3-2 to set an imposing 254-8 against Cranborne with Jamie Douglas (68) leading the recovery.
The onslaught from Ayaz and Thompson came late on, with 68 runs in the final four overs.
Thompson said: "Jamie Douglas did fantastically well. He has been our most consistent batsman all season.
"Then the 60 runs at the end changed the whole concept of how they had to bat.
"They had to go for it from the start as they needed more than six an over.
"We had good home support and now we've got another home game, which is great."
