OXFORD City’s task to collect their first points in Vanarama National League will be tough as they come up against one of the favourites to lift the title.

Chesterfield, managed by former Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic and Ipswich Town boss Paul Cook, are already second in the table after wins against Dorking Wanderers and AFC Fylde.

The Spireites have managed to bring in the likes of ex-Wigan and Sunderland striker Will Grigg, plus former Portsmouth winger Michael Jacobs, during the summer transfer window.

The Hoops meanwhile have suffered two defeats from their first two games in the National League, with the opening day 5-2 loss at Aldershot Town followed up with a 1-0 defeat against Rochdale at the weekend.

Banbury United, bottom of National League North after also suffering two losses from their first two matches, will be hoping to pick up a result at Gloucester City.

The Tigers have collected just one point this season, on Saturday in a 1-1 draw at home to Bishop’s Stortford.

Didcot Town will be aiming to get their first points in Southern League Premier South, as they welcome Hanwell Town, who got off the mark with a 3-1 win at Basingstoke Town on Saturday.

In Southern League Central Division, North Leigh will hope to put their opening day 4-3 loss at home to Barton Rovers when they make the trip to AFC Dunstable.

Thame United, winners at home to Hadley at the weekend, travel to Cirencester Town.
