Hamza Hussain starred to see Horspath into the semi-finals with a six-wicket victory over Banbury in the Under 13 Ron Maudsley Trophy.

Banbury found runs hard to come by against Horspath's tight bowling and fielding, and they could muster only 72-4 from their 20 overs.

This proved inadequate as Hussain, with an unbeaten 34, steered Horspath to victory.

Shrivenham knocked out Oxford Downs with a five-wicket triumph.

Downs posted a respectable 113-6, Josh Crossley scoring 33 not out and Ben Hebbert 3-14.

But Shrivenham were equal to the task, reaching the target in the 19th over, Darius Laud top-scoring with 33 not out.

Aston Rowant cruised through with a ten-wicket victory over Freeland.

A strong bowling display restricted Freeland to 56-6, and Rowant needed only ten overs to knock off the runs.

Thame proved too strong for Buscot Park, racing to a massive 136-3, before bowling Buscot out for 73.

Charlie Parker top-scored with 33 not out, before Sam Alexander took 4-2.
