LIAM Manning gave little away when asked about rumours linking Oxford United with Fleetwood Town striker Jack Marriott.
Reports suggest a £400,000 bid for the 28-year-old has been rejected.
United are believed to have pursued a deal for Marriott in January, before he joined the Cod Army late in the window for a reported £250,000.

The Oxford Mail understands that reports of a U’s offer are accurate, although Manning was cool on the matter when asked yesterday.
United’s head coach said: “There’s nothing happening there, Jack’s a Fleetwood player.
“He’s obviously a striker that’s proven at the level but he’s contracted to them so it wouldn’t be right to talk on speculation.”
Marriott signed for Fleetwood in January, arriving from Peterborough United on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The Ipswich Town academy product left the Tractor Boys for Luton Town in May 2015 and went on to score 28 goals in 91 appearances across a two-year spell.
From the Hatters, he joined Peterborough for his first stint with the Posh, netting 27 league goals during the 2017/18 season.
Derby County signed him in July 2018, and he scored 17 times in 86 games for the Rams.
Marriott then rejoined Peterborough in July 2021, finding the net on 16 occasions in 58 matches.
He scored eight goals in 19 games after signing for Fleetwood earlier this year.
