Oxfiordshire Under 11s put in an improved performance, but lost by five wickets against Dorset at Bournemouth's Dean Park.
After electing to bat, and Oxon's Connor Tinsley and James Fitzjohn got off to a solid start as they put on 20 for the first wicket.
However, they lost three quick wickets with some good bowling from James Williams, and at 20-3, Oxon had to rebuild the innings.
Nine-year-old Jordan Garrett and Patrick Main took the score to 39, before another mini-collapse saw Oxon again in trouble at 42-6.
But unlike a week earlier, the lower order dug in.
A good partnership between Luke Symington (13) and Alex Davies (15) started the recovery.
Another useful stand between William Bull (15) and James Bower (16) took the visitors to a reasonable total of 114 all out off the final ball of their innings.
Oxfordshire's bowling and fielding was good, and with Dorset at 40-3, they were in control, Alex Davies bowling six overs for just seven runs.
However, with the match evenly-poised at 73-5, a fine stand of 42 won the match for the home side.
