LIAM Manning has confirmed Marcus McGuane is fit and available for Oxford United after the midfielder missed yesterday’s pre-season double-header.
The 24-year-old didn’t feature in either the 5-1 win behind closed doors against Barnet or the goalless draw away to Eastleigh.
Manning though is confident McGuane will be okay to play later in the week when the U’s take on Sky Bet Championship side Swansea City on Friday evening and second tier Bristol City behind closed doors on Saturday afternoon.

Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood is also set to return following a calf strain, while Manning is relaxed on the knock which forced Ciaron Brown to be substituted for the last 10 minutes of yesterday’s draw with Eastleigh.
United’s head coach said: “Marcus is okay, it was nothing major, just a little niggle he had in his back which settled and he should be available at the weekend.
“Easty’s fine and training, and he’ll play at the weekend.
“He [Brown] tightened up a little bit, it was more precautionary than anything so nothing I’m majorly worried about.”
