OXFORD United kicked off pre-season with a 3-1 win against Southampton B.
Billy Bodin and Gatlin O’Donkor saw the U’s lead 2-0 at the break, with Cameron Bragg netting for the visitors, before a home trialist wrapped up the win late on.
United played completely different sides in each half, with only Simon Eastwood, Stephan Negru and new signing Mark Harris the only players not involved.
Eastwood has a calf strain, while Negru wasn’t risked due to a tight groin. Harris is being eased into things after joining later in the pre-season schedule.

Fellow summer recruits James Beadle, Jordan Thorniley and Josh McEachran all started the first half, which saw Cameron Brannagan hit the post before Bodin gave the U’s the lead after 22 minutes when he volleyed in at the back post from Marcus Browne’s cross.
United doubled their lead five minutes later when O’Donkor looped in a header after Josh Murphy’s cross wasn’t fully cleared.
Fin Stevens and Ruben Rodrigues played the second half, as Bragg brought the Saints to within a goal.
Elliott Moore hit the post with a volley, and with two minutes to go, the U’s trialist scored after Yanic Wildschut saw a shot pushed away.
