OXFORDSHIRE made it three defeats from three in the NCCA Trophy, with a loss at Lincolnshire in Group One.

Left-arm paceman Mark Footitt took seven for 14, the best ever figures in the Trophy, to clinch a 201 runs victory for the hosts.

Footitt’s figures bettered the seven for 15 that seamer Paul Bradshaw took for Norfolk against Herefordshire in 2005.

Jaden Fell (91) and Ben Wright (85) laid the foundations for Lincolnshire’s 302 for seven in an opening stand of 187.

Footitt then scythed through Oxon, who were shot out for 101 with almost half their overs unused. At one stage, Footitt took six for five in 15 balls and was twice on a hat-trick.

Debutants Zak Tribe, who took three for 41, and Tommy Rex, who top-scored with 26, emerged with some credit for Oxon.
