Skipper Shahbaz Ali's six-wicket haul couldn't save basement boys Kidlington from a 149-run hammering by Basingstoke & North Hants at Stratfield Brake.
Shahbaz picked up 6-88, but Basingstoke still rattled up 255 with Lee Nurse hitting an unbeaten 95 and opener Kevin Latouf 62.
Kidlington were then shot out for 106 inside 26 overs.
Dave Taylor (54) contributed more than half of the runs in an innings which saw five batsmen out for ducks, including the new opening partnership of Jamil Faruq and Andy Buckingham.
Mitch Stokes (5-38) and Kumaran Thirunavukkarasu (5-64) shared the wickets between them.
It was Kidlington's sixth defeat from seven games - the other was abandoned - and it leaves them 39 points adrift at the foot of the table.
The reality is that the attack is lightweight and the batting is so short of confidence it's hard to see them drawing a game let alone winning one.
