Hamza Hussain displayed his talent again as he led Oxfordshire to a convincing 57-run victory over Wales in the ECB Under 13 Cup match at Stonesfield.
His sparkling knock of 60 put Oxfordshire in control as they rattled up 227-8 from their 40 overs.
Winning the toss and batting, Oxon lost an early wicket, but a 50-run stand between Michael Forrest and Curtly Slatter got them on track.
Hussain's brilliant knock in the middle order included five boundaries and two big sixes, before an outstanding 41 not out from Adam Muttitt helped the Oxfordshire tail to the extent of 87 runs in the last ten overs.
In reply, Wales were never in the hunt.
Their top order was blown away by East Oxford paceman Musaleen Sadiqi, and at 30-4, Wales were in real trouble.
A 100-run partnership between James Murphy and Adam Carvell steadied the ship, but they were always behind the asking rate.
Sadiqi was the pick of the Oxfordshire bowlers, finishing with figures of 3-32, but this was a fine all-round performance as Oxon wrapped up their third successive victory.
