OXFORDSHIRE will have the chance to retain their Division Three crown at the Bill Beaumont County Championship after making a second consecutive final.
Greg Goodfellow’s side beat Notts, Lincs & Derbys 39-24 at Witney RFC to set up a final against Essex on June 3, set to be played at the home of Ealing Trailfinders.
The victory follows the 36-32 win against Warwickshire, at Coventry RFC, and meant Oxfordshire topped the Pool 1 standings with 10 points.
Essex meanwhile sealed a hat-trick of victories by beating Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Sussex en route to topping the Pool 2 group.
Last year, Oxfordshire claimed the Division Three title with a low-scoring 7-5 win against Berkshire.
