Abingdon Ambler Luke Chown produced some superb performances to lower his personal best in both the 100 and 200m at the SEAA Under 20 Championships at Crystal Palace.
He won his heat of the 200m in 22.14secs, then qualified for the final by finishing third in the semi, clocking 22.34.
Chown then clocked a personal best of 22.02 as he finished just outside the medals in fourth place in the final.
The following day, Chown reached the semi-finals of the 100m, finishing fifth in an excellent personal best time of 10.89.
Although not enough to reach the final, his coach Colin Mitchell said: "It was a fast time, and he's improving all the time."
This Sunday, Chown turns his attention to the AAA Championships at Bedford.
