CIARON Brown enjoyed a double success at Oxford United’s end of season awards last night.
The 25-year-old defender scooped both the men’s players’ player of the year and the Andrew Knapton supporters’ player of the year.
Brown joined the U’s on a permanent basis in June, following a loan spell last season.

During the 2022/23 campaign, he has made the left back slot his own and made 48 appearances in all competitions.
The Northern Ireland international has also popped up with two goals this season, in wins away at Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town.
Gatlin O’Donkor took home the Jack Casley young player of the year award after a breakthrough campaign which has seen him score twice in 34 appearances across all competitions.
Tyler Goodrham’s stunning strike at the weekend away to Forest Green Rovers won the Joey Beauchamp men’s goal of the season, with Daisy McLachlan claiming the women’s goal of the season.
Carly Johns scooped the women’s supporters’ player of the year award, having spearheaded United’s Southern Premier Division title charge.
The community player of the year was won by Kyle Joseph, while the Micky Lewis club person of the year award was given to head of medical Amy Cranston, who recently raised more than £4,500 for the children’s hospice Helen & Douglas House after running the London Marathon.
