KYLE Joseph had a message for Oxford United’s fans after his goal set the U’s on their way to ensuring third tier survival away at Forest Green Rovers.
The Swansea City loanee opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a composed finish, adding to his goal in the win against Cheltenham Town in midweek.
Tyler Goodrham and Billy Bodin added a spectacular goal each in the second half against Forest Green, clinching United’s place in Sky Bet League One, barring a ridiculous goal swing and defeat next weekend.

Joseph said after the final whistle yesterday: “It’s good for me personally to get back-to-back goals.
“It was brilliant today, a team performance and a team win – you can’t ask for any more.
“I thought I had goal of the day but it shows the quality we’ve got in the squad.
“We’ve probably lacked it a bit at times this season and we all know that, we take responsibility for that.
“It’s good to see those individual moments from players and it shows what the lads can produce for next season.”

On the support from the away end, Joseph said: “The fans were brilliant from minute one. They’re a massive part the fans, they give us a psychological boost.
“From minute one, it felt like a home game.
“They were loud and singing everyone’s names.
“They were brilliant as they have been all season.
“From the staff and players, I think I can say a big thank you to the fans for all season sticking by us even when it was tough and with a cost of living crisis.”
