CHINNOR edged out Darlington Mowden Park 38-29 in an entertaining season finale at Kingsey Road.
The sides shared ten tries in a pulsating fixture, with the visitors staging a second half comeback from 28-5 down to close to within six points with three minutes to go.
However, Tom Price crucially converted all five of Chinnor’s tries and slotted a late penalty to ensure victory.

This saw the Thame-based side finish the season in impressive fashion with six wins from seven matches, helping them to an eighth-placed finish in National League 1.
Chinnor scored four of their five tries in the first half, with scrum half Luke Carter crossing after just two minutes.
Inside centre Price – who finished the afternoon with 18 points – added the extras.
Mowden went on to dominate the next 15 minutes territorially but handling errors proved their downfall, while Chinnor were clinical in comparison as right-wing Nick Smith raced over to double their lead.
The visitors did get off the mark through Yaree Fantini’s unconverted try, however the hosts dominated the rest of the half and led 28-5 at the break as hooker Reece Marshall and Price crossed for the whitewash.
Fantini and Chinnor No 8 Willie Ryan traded tries at the start of the second half as the home side led 35-10 with 48 minutes on the clock.
But Park were causing problems on the break and scores from Ollie Walker and Callum Mackenzie reduced the deficit to 13 points.
They then made the comeback possible when Mackenzie crossed for his second to make it 35-29 with 77 minutes on the clock.
However, Chinnor recovered well and Price slotted a penalty from the 22 to make sure of victory.
