WITNEY Ladies need to win their last two games of the season to stay up in their first ever season in the second tier of English hockey.
Abi Flory’s penalty stroke for the Lambs wasn’t quite enough as they went down to high-flying Barnes.
Witney trailed 1-0 thanks to a well-worked penalty corner routine from the visitors but Flory calmly tucked away a stroke won by Katie Oliver.

However, Barnes scored what proved to be the winner with just six minutes remaining with a powerful slap shot from just inside the shooting circle.
The Lambs now go to Cambridge City on Saturday, in the first of the two must-win games.
Witney’s final game of the season is against Sevenoaks at Wood Green School on April 1.
