VALE of White Horse Boys’ Under-13s have progressed to the last four of a national competition.
The Oxfordshire side took the lead after 20 minutes against Sheffield, in the English Schools’ Football Association Champions Cup, when Tyler Adjei took advantage of a poor back pass and raced in on goal.
Adjei saw a chance saved by the Sheffield keeper before the visitors equalised.

Vale regained the lead almost immediately though when Adjei raced clear on the right and crossed low for Josh O’Keeffe.
Another Adjei run gave O’Keeffe a chance to make the game safe but he shot wide at the far post.
Sheffield pressed for an equaliser but Vale held on for a 2-1 win, which set up a semi-final away against Leeds on March 25.
