The Horse & Harrow player - a replacement for Ray Sturgess - beat Reading's Dave Alder in the first round and Mick Chipman, from Sussex, in the second.
Further wins over Dave Reeves (Sussex) and Curt Driver (Kent) put him through to the final, where he saw off Sussex's Iain Lelliot to clinch the title.
