Oxford's strength in depth was illustrated by their impressive eight-wicket victory over Reading in the ECB Cockspur Cup.
Despite fielding just five first-team regulars, they cruised home in the third-round clash, which was played at Challow & Childrey due to a model aircraft diaply at Rover Cowley.
Second-teamer Tim Marcon stole the plaudits with a rapid century, making 111 off 114 balls, including 17 fours and two sixes.
Reading were held to 228-6 in their 45 overs, with Stewart Laudat and Nathan Absalom each picking up two wickets.
Marcon and Pat Jobson then put on 192 for the first wicket before Marcon was bowled by Luke Beaven.
Jobson soon followed for 75, leaving Laudat to hit the winning runs.
Oxford will host league rivals Henley in their regional semi-final on Sunday, June 22.
This Sunday, they entertain Sawbridgeworth in round two of the Evening Standard Trophy.
