ATEEF Konate is hoping to add some flair and versatility to Oxford United’s struggling front line.
The Nottingham Forest youngster, 21, has joined the U’s on loan until the end of the season after being linked with a move to Sky Bet Championship side Sunderland earlier this month.
The attacking midfielder has scored eight goals in his last eight games for Forest’s Under-21 side and was voted the Premier League 2 player of the month for October.

“I’m really happy to be here – I’m here to help the team, play games and score goals,” said Konate.
“I hope I can do the same or better than I did with the Under-21s.
“I made the choice to come here and show what I can do.
“When I spoke to the manager and everyone here, I felt that they really wanted me.
“I can play in the front, in the No 10, on the left or on the right – it doesn’t matter for me.
“My best place I think is in the No 10 or as a striker.”
Konate added: “It’s really important, the next six months for me and my career.
“I have to show what I can do in men’s football.”
