Division 1 leaders Oxford have been forced by injury to make only their second change of the season when they entertain Oxfordshire rivals Henley in the Home Counties Premier League at Roman Way on Saturday.

Middle-order batsmen Ian Crosby came off worse in a collision with overseas signing Raj Patel during last week's victory at Welwyn Garden City and damaged a rib.

The injury is expected to keeper 'Crozzer' out for two weeks, so Adam Cook comes in for his season debut.

Cook has been unavailable this season due to his duties as a fireman, but he has a chance to stake a claim.

That is the only change made by skipper Jason Harrison, who is happy to have a settled side.

"We've used only 13 players this season. We've got a big squad. There will be opportunities, but it will be up to players to make the most of them."

Henley have yet to win this season, but Harrison is not taking them lightly.

"They have a excellent seam attack, and it will be a difficult game."

Banbury skipper Benji Hector is considering dropping down the order for their match at Slough.

"We've tended to have all best batsmen at the top of the order and that has caused some problems," said Hector in the wake of last week's defeat at Radlett when not one of the first seven reached double figures.

The return of Oxfordshire opening batsman Chris Smith, will allow Hector to bat at No 5 or 6.

Ollie Murrey, a prolific wicket-taker for the second team, is added to Banbury's squad of 13.

"We've gone for the extra batsman so far, but Murrey will give us an other option in the seam attack," explalined Hector.

Slough may be bottom but they have recently acquired the former Oxford universioty captain Mark Wagh, formerly of Warwickshire.

Two successive wins have taken Thame Town to third spot in Division 2 West, and they will be trying to extend their run at home to Basingstoke.

"I think we're in a slightly false posiiton, as we've played mostly against teams in the bottom half of the table," said skipper Rob Brooks.

Seamer Sam Lachlan returns to the team, while Thame call up 15-year-old Dan West to bat at No 7 or 8. Joe Robinson and Richard Carr drop down.

After recent controversies and the abandonment of last week's game against Gerrards Cross due to a waterlogged ground, Kidlington are just looking forward to playing again.

Tomorrow, the bottom-placed club travel to play newly-promoted Thatcham.

John Kitson comes in for the unavailable Noel Pearson, while former Morris Motors left-arm spinner Faisal Choudhry replaces Aquib Lakab.
