JODI Jones has been included in the Malta squad for friendlies taking place this week.
The Oxford United winger has been named in interim coach Gilbert Aguis’ 28-man squad for fixtures against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Malta welcome Greece on Thursday, before Stephen Kenny’s Ireland side visit on Sunday.
Jones’ inclusion in the squad means he will be unavailable for United’s fixtures this week against Woking and Forest Green Rovers, in the Emirates FA Cup and Sky Bet League One respectively.
“I’d like to have been scoring more but that’s the life of a striker sometimes.”

The 25-year-old made his international debut in September as Malta fell to a 2-1 defeat against Estonia in the UEFA Nations League.
He then grabbed an assist from the bench as his national side completed a late comeback victory in a friendly at home to Israel.
Jones joined the action at half-time, with his country trailing 1-0.
The former Coventry City player got an assist for Alexander Satariano in the 84th minute, before Malta made it 2-1 two minutes later.
