Kidlington, looking to get back to playing cricket after the Shahbaz Ali 'cheating' storm, were foiled when their Division 2 West game against Gerrards Cross was abandoned with the Stratfield Brake ground waterlogged.
Umpires Don Brooks and Steve Harris called the game off on Saturday morning after ruling that a large area of the ground was unfit for play due to standing water.
Club chairman Nick Duval explained that surface water in an area close to the dual carriageway percolated via an old farm drainage system into an area between the pavilion and the square.
This resulted in water coming up from below ground level.
Kidlington had been hoping to get back into action following their expulsion from the ECB Cockspur Cup for fielding a player under a false name - a furore which had led skipper Shahbaz to deny he was a cheat.
