Jaydeep Bhatti took 7-22 with an incredible display of left-arm spin bowling to set Thame Town on the way to a three-wicket win at Buckingham Town in Division 2 West.
Buckingham had taken on the Thame seam attack with some very positive strokeplay to make their way to 95-3 off 20 overs.
Fifteen-year-old Michael Beard with 3-32 was the pick of the seamers.
But then the game took a dramatic turn with Bhatti's introduction.
Buckingham had little answer to the Indian spinner, who finished with figures of 18.4-8-22-7 as they collapsed to 145 all out.
In reply, Thame stuttered on a slow and difficult pitch as they slumped to 26-4.
But as the ball became more worn, the Thame batsmen began to find conditions more to their liking, and Bhatti (23) and skipper Rob Brooks (57no) put on a much-needed parnership of 76 for the fifth wicket.
Bhatti's dimissal gave Buckingham some hope, but Luke Merry (34) soon put pay to it with a fine display of hitting to take Thame to the brink of victory.
