Oxford Stadium could gain from the demise of the country's premier greyhound stadia by regaining the BAGS slot they recently lost to Belle Vue.
Currently, Walthamstow, stage two BAGS meeting a week on Monday and Friday, but the GRA - who recently transferred the Wednesday BAGS meeting to their northern sister track - could be tempted to apply for one of the meetings when the London track closes in August.
However, racing manager Gary Baiden said: "I am not aware as yet as to whether we are going to get a BAGS meeting back.
The GRA has to apply to BAGS for any additional meeting.
Oxford's racing strength is 70 more than they require for their weekly programme, so they want to fit all runners in.
THE Blue Square greyhound Derby takes place at Wimbledon tonight and punters can bet and watch the action on the TV screens at Oxford Stadium.
Local trainer Maurice Massey's Positive Step takes part in a supporting open.
ANGIE Kibble was delighted with the debut of Kingsbrook Tara (Droopys Woods- Fragrant Blossom).
Tara won his opening race on Tuesday by over seven lengths in 27.31. Paddy Curtin produced a 250-1 four-timer.
