It will be a case of deja vu when Oxfordshire host Bedfordshire in their final Group 1 match in the MCCA Trophy at Challow and Childrey on Sunday (11).
As has been the case in the last two years, simply winning may not be enough for Oxon, who must keep a keen eye on their run-rate to ensure qualification.
The top two teams go through to the quarter-finals, but only Beds are definitely out of contention in a group where everyone apart from Cheshire has lost a match to rain.
Oxon must beat Beds and in the process score at least 1.1 runs per over more than they concede to be sure of qualifying.
This would take them above leaders Shropshire and ensure at least a second-placed finish in Group 1.
If Cumberland defeat Cheshire in Sunday's other match, simply beating Beds should be enough to progress.
Oxon captain Ian Hawtin said: "It may be one of those games where some calculations are needed in the tea break, which should be interesting.
"The thing is to go out there and win, and we'll address the other issues as we go on."
Oxon's best chance may be to bowl first, so they know exactly how many overs they will need to secure victory in to leapfrog Shropshire.
But Hawtin stressed: "Either way, we'll know what we have to do.
"We played very well against Cheshire in our first match, but not quite so well against Cumberland.
"We'll be looking to recapture that early form."
Team manager Neil Pearson added: "As long as the weather is ok, at least it is in our hands."
Banbury batsman Craig Haupt returns with clubmate, spinner Luke Ryan unavailable.
Kidlington's Shahbaz Ali, who didn't feature in the defeat at Cumberland, makes up the 12-man squad.
Oxfordshire: from Hawtin (capt, Banbury), Hewitt (Welwyn Garden City), Noble (Banbury), Haupt (Banbury), Williams (Leamington Spa), Sandbach (Oxford Downs), Crosby (Oxford), Hawkes (Banbury) Shahbaz Ali (Kidlington), Brooks (Oxford), Arnold (Banbury Twenty), Newhook (Banbury).
