Oxford City staked an early claim for the Crossflight Oxfordshire National Club League women's title with a 3-0 win over Cholsey.
A convincing performance by Rutvica Andrijasevic and Julie Wakeford saw City ease to victory.
North Oxford defeated Woodstock by the same score, but things were a lot closer in the match between Thame and Cholsey.
Pauline Loilier beat Fiona Pidgeon 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 (tie-break) to put Cholsey ahead, but Jo Kelly squared matters, winning 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 (tie-break) against Florence Vasseur.
Pidgeon and Kelly then went on to take the deciding doubles rubber.
