Banbury teenager Lloyd Sabin is already showing that he may become a better player than his father, Andrew, the former Oxfordshire batsman.
The 13-year-old made a brilliant start to the season, hitting a half-century for Banbury 2nd in their four-wicket win at home to Bicester & North Oxford in the opening round of matches in Division 1 of The Oxford Times Cherwell League.
Lloyd, who opened the batting with his dad, made 57 to help Banbury overhaul Bicester's total of 204-6.
It's believed he is the youngest player to score a half-century in the league's top flight.
Banbury's Neil Megson commented: "It is the best innings I have seen by a kid in real top-grade cricket."
