Kidlington have been kicked out of English cricket's leading club competition after fielding a player under a false name.
The Stratfield Brake club have been expelled from the ECB Cockspur Cup after being found to have breached the rules in their 28-run win at Reading.
Kidlington played Jehan Mohammed, from Cherwell League club Morris Motors Exiles, under the name Aquib Lakab in the second-round match on May 18.
Aquib Lakab is a 16-year-old seamer, who Kidlington captain Shahbaz Ali last week admitted would only be a bit-part player this season.
But his 'replacement' Jehan Mohammed was Kidlington's most successful bowler, taking 2-28 in his six overs.
Kidlington chairman Nick Duval said: "We are holding an investigation at the moment within the club to find out what happened.
"I only found out about this yesterday (Sunday) at about 11.30pm.
"The ECB have explained the case to us and asked if we wanted to respond.
"We are in the wrong and are trying to find out exactly what went wrong."
Duval added that he had not heard of Jehan Mohammed, while Shahbaz declined to comment.
Kidlington's expulsion means Reading are re-instated and will visit Oxford in round three on Sunday.
The ECB decision also expunges from the record the only win Kidlington have managed in a season, which is going from bad to worse.
Ironically, last season Kidlington supplied evidence to the Home Counties Premier League over Burnham allegedly fielding an ineligible against them.
After a league investigation, no action was taken against Burnham.
