City of Oxford's Ben Chapman struck gold in the 400m freestyle at Swim Swansea in a national qualifying time of 4mins 25.05secs.

The 14-year-old also won bronze in the 200m free with a pb just outside nqt (2.07.95).

Teammates Emma Lomas (12) and Leanne Brooks (13) both made the 100m breaststroke finals, finishing fourth and sixth respectively.

Lomas was also fourth in the 800m free with a pb (10.16.69), while Brooks finished with a pb of 5.02.84 in the 400m freestyle.

Carly Hayles was third in the 15-16 year old age group 200m backstroke in the UK Challenge Level 1 meeting in Hatfield.

She finished in a national qualifying times of 2.20.93 and swam 1.06.90 to make the final of the girls 100m backstroke.

Hayles also swam 1.02.20 for 12th in the 100m freestyle.

Ten-year-old Andrew Tivey won the boys' under 12 freestyle to earn the swimmer-of-the-match award, with the runner-up vote going to 16-year-old Mark Kemp, winner of the men's open butterfly.
