Shrivenham's Alex Kill steered Oxfordshire Under 17s to a six-wicket victory over their under 16 counterparts at East & West Hendred.
Kill and Craig Wood compiled an opening stand of 115 to put the under 17s on the way to victory, after the under 16s had recovered from a shaky start to post 190 all out in their innings.
Invited to bat first on a wicket that offered a bit to the seamers, the under 16s were quickly in trouble at 8-3 and 23-4.
However, skipper Jack Taylor set about rebuilding the innings with a well-compiled 50, while newcomer Ashley Hubbert produced a superb batting display to top-score with 71, including 12 boundaries and a six.
Some delicate shots down the order from Joe Harris and some more lusty blows from Zabih Ullah Saeed saw the under 16s to a competitive total, with seam bowlers Zia Hamid and Matty Woods taking four wickets apiece.
The under 17s began their reply in style, and with conditions improving, Kill and Wood scored freely in a sparkling opening stand.
Wood fell for 30 and Kill was run out for 64, but by that point, the under 17s were well on course for victory.
Josh Smith chipped in with 25, before Mitchell Meredith and Woods saw them home with 13 balls to spare.
