Studley Wood made it fifth time lucky in Section 1 of the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League.
Having lost their opening four matches, Studley edged to a 2-1 win at home to Tadmarton Heath, who could have gone top with a win.
Both their successes were by one hole, but they still face a tough battle to avoid relegation in the second half of the campaign.
Studley's Steve Jenkins and Austin Siggers held off Owen King and Mark Hughes in match one.
But Spencer Hallam and Andrew Mason hit back to defeat Nigel Lawton and Duncan Dingle 4 & 3 in the second match.
Nick Mortimer and Simon Bulman pipped Roger Mawle and Ian Manning to give Studley a much-needed win.
North Oxford, winners in 2006, will host holders Frilford Heath in round one of the Knockout Trophy.
A 2-1 victory at Bicester secured North Oxford's passage with Paul Barrow and Martyn Booth plus Paul Jones and Mike Tippett picking up their wins.
