Oxford City's juniors produced an improved display as they finished third in their South Division 1 West meeting at Horspath Road.

Although only managing to fill 11 events, the under 17 women led the way with an impressive nine first places.

Kirsty Warland started with a personal best of 46.5 secs to win the 300m hurdles, then took first place in the 80m hurdles.

Amelia Swan took second in the discus with a personal best of 16.19m.

Danielle Anderson arrived just in time from a football match to take first place in the javelin with 32.59m.

The four women finished the afternoon ahead of the field with victory in the 4x100m relay in 51.1 secs.

The under 13 girls amassed 11 personal bests.

First places were harder to come by, with only Imogen van Zyl, Elissa Clark and Amy Busby taking victories.

Clark won the 1200m in 4.45.2, with Busby clocking 14.0 to win the 75m hurdles.

Van Zyl took first place in the 800m, crossing the line in 2.38.0.

In the under 15 girls' category, A string victories came from Imogen Kempton in the 1500m (5.03.4) and Ellie Clarke-Jacques in the 800m (2.26.8).

The under 17 men managed ten victories.

Nathan Rockett took the 100m with a personal best of 12.5 and followed this up with 5.17m in the long jump.

Debutant Matthew Foster took B string wins in the 200m and 400m, while James Cody clocked a personal best of 11.25.7 in the 3000m to finish second.

The under 15s posted five wins, with Marcus Woodington claiming three of them.

Marcus Woodington was successful in the under 15 boys' 80m hurdles (12.4), 400m (57.5) and javelin (30.98).

The under 13 boys posted five wins, Tom Stockford finishing the day with personal bests in the long jump (3.56), 100m (14.7) and 200m (30.3).
