Kidlington bounced back from two league defeats to record their first competitive victory of the season - upsetting Reading in the ECB Cockspur Cup.
Reading are in Division 1 of the Home Counties Premier League, a level above Kidlington, but fell 28 runs short of their target.
Kidlington, who were handed a walkover by Thame Town in round one, made 233-7 in their 45 overs.
Dave Taylor and captain Shahbaz Ali both hit 60, while Mohammed Atif (25) and Nawaz Ali (22) had useful contributions.
Reading managed 205-6 in reply with Aquib Lakab (2-28) the pick of Kidlington's bowlers.
They only had 42 overs to chase victory after losing three due to their slow over rate in the Kidlington innings.
Shahbaz Ali said: "This was a great result for us, particularly as they had a couple of contracted players in their squad.
"They certainly feared Dave Taylor when he came in and it was good for me to get some runs and spend time in the middle."
Kidlington will travel to Oxford in round three on June 1.
Oxford defeated a spirited Abingdon Vale by 31 runs on Sunday after posting 211-6.
Sean Oliver smashed 85 not out off 57 balls, which included seven fours and three sixes, while Francois Vainker made 42.
Abingdon's left-arm spinner Paul White took 1-6 from nine miserly overs, which included six maidens.
Michael Cook took 3-27 and made 49 in Vale's reply, which ended on 180-8.
Charles Smook hit 51 before falling lbw to Graham Charlesworth (3-34).
Banbury lost to Hinckley by seven wickets after a disappointing display.
Paul Taylor (61no) Ashley Blanchard (51) and Ed Smith (42 not out) helped Banbury recover to 218-6, but Hinckley eased home with more than three overs remaining.
