Earlier in the month, he ended a BMW PGA Championship overshadowed by the Queen’s death nine-under.
The tournament was suspended on the Thursday following the monarch’s passing, with play resuming on Saturday.
At Made in HimmerLand, Denmark, Pepperell tied for 18th.
He ended on 12-under par – nine shots behind tournament winner Oliver Wilson.
Play at St Andrews, acknowledged as the ‘Home of Golf’, gets underway at 9am this morning, with the championship running until October 2.
