Oxfordshire captain Ian Hawtin says their MCCA Trophy victory over Cheshire showed just how good they can be.
The six-wicket success at Great & Little Tew was based on disciplined bowling and fielding, plus an excellent innings form Rob Williams.
Hawtin said: "I think we are a better side than some people give us credit for.
"A lot of the other captains rate us.
"Cheshire are the reigning champions and got to the final of this competition last year.
"We've proved that we are good side by beating them.
"All the bowlers did well and then Rob Williams underlined how important he is to us.
"Jamie Hewitt took the game to Cheshire well early on."
He added: "I think Tew should be congratulated for providing a fantastic venue.
"It was a good wicket and good facilities."
This Sunday, Oxfordshire travel to Workington for their next trophy match against Cumberland.
