Despite a superb innings by Benji Hector, Banbury had the worse end of a draw away to newly-promoted Tring Park in the Home Counties Premier League Division 1.
Set 226 for victory, Hector led the way with a spectacular 94, which included one six and 12 fours, But only Marc Rorich, with 25 not out, offered any support and Banbury did not come close, finishing on 159-7.
Banbury appeared to have built up a winning position after winning the toss.
At lunch they had Tring in trouble at 95-6, but Andy Wynd, who joined from Thame, and skipper Paul Atkins added 84 for the seventh wicket to turn the tide
