Oxford United's planned pre-season game against the national team of Guinea has been put on hold.
The U's were due to fly out to the west African nation for a game in the capital city, Conakry, on July 13 but the game has been postponed due to international clearance problems.
FIFA have told the Guinean authorities that their national team cannot play any further competitive matches before August.
And with Oxford United's Blue Square Premier League season kicking off on August 9, it now looks unlikely that the game can be played this summer.
United chairman Nick Merry expressed his disappointment.
"It is a blow because it would have been a prestigious match, against a team that did well in the African Cup of Nations.
