Drayton Leisure was the venue for the latest in Predator's Spring Carp League which was fished by 15 matchmen.
Drayton is a couple of miles from Banbury and besides the fishing, also has a golf course.
The lake fished quite well, with the top weight of 72.6.0 going to Matt Ryman (Predator). He alternated between paste and pellet down the margins and landed carp and skimmers.
In second place with 71.4.0 was Andy Wiffen (RS Baits), who fished up in the water at 13m, switching between paste, pellet and maggot for a net of carp.
Fishing towards the reeds, Les Hill took third place with 60.2.0 of carp all taking cat meat.
Beehive AC kicked off their summer series at Panshill with the Beehive Cup first leg and Charity Shield up for grabs.
A lot of fish were spawning, but that didn't stop them feeding.
In first place was Dave Mott with 33.2.0 of carp taken on pole fished with small pieces of prawn.
Just two ounces behind, Kevin Jeacock finished second with 33.0.0 on pole and maggot.
Steve Dingle took third with 29.4.0 of carp on banded pellet.
Over 260lb of fish were caught by the 17 anglers.
The first three hours of the North Oxford AS match on the Oxford Canal at King's Bridge was like a regatta with a lot of boats moving about.
But that didn't deter the nine anglers and the clear winner after five hours was Jason Bean.
Pegged up on the mile stone, he fed chopped worm and used worm on the hook to catch chub and perch for 11.3.0.
Dave Scott-Picton had to settle for second place. He was on the rushes peg and caught skimmers on the punch and then switched to worm to tempt some perch for a total of 7.8.0.
Third place went to Paul Jackman with 5.8.0 of perch and skimmers on worm.
