Supporters group OxVox have praised Oxford United's decision to cut prices for exisiting season ticket holders.
The U's announcement of a five per cent reduction has received well by supporters.
And OxVox believe that it sends out the right message to fans.
OxVox chairman Trevor Lambert said: "The club's response has been very positive.
"The constructive dialogue on this issue augurs well for future relations between the club and the trust.
"A growing supporters trust working with a listening club can only be good for the future of Oxford United.
"It has been difficult for the club to reduce prices at a time when its overheads are rising and it is trying to build a promotion winning team.
"We are very pleased that the club has taken up a number of our suggestions."
Graham Cripps, a new member of the committee who earlier in the season led a campaign to increase attendances, added: "The five per cent loyalty bonus' for season ticket renewals is a welcome reward for many of our fans following the disappointments of the last two years.
"Together with frozen prices for new season ticket holders, this means that a season ticket is excellent value."
