Josh Megson scored a magnificent 89 not out as Oxfordshire Under 13s suffered a narrow defeat at Cambridge- shire.
After heavy rain delayed the start, Oxon were put in on a damp wicket.
Cambridgeshire's bowlers exploited the conditions well as they reduced Oxon to 31-4 in the first 15 overs.
Only Curtley Slater made any early impression, before Megson and Hamza Hussain put on 45 for the fifth wicket.
But at 75-6, Oxon were in real trouble, before Adam Muttitt joined Megson in a magnificent stand of 110.
Muttitt reached his half-century with eight boundaries.
Megson finished unbeaten on 89 with 11 fours and three huge sixes, which took Oxon to a useful 203-7 from their 40 overs.
In reply, two early wickets from Hamza Hussain put the home side on the back foot.
But a fine stand between Paul Clarke and David October took Cambridgeshire to 166-4.
A brilliant catch from Ruairi Willis and good work from spin duo Sasha Barras and Ben Richards left Cambridge needing ten to win from two overs.
And Clarke hit a four and a six to complete an unbeaten century and wrap-up victory
