Oxfordshire's opening MCCA Trophy clash against Shropshire at Wem yesterday was washed out without a ball being bowled.
Heavy overnight rain and a further downpour in the morning meant the start was put back to 2pm.
But the heavens opened again 20 minutes before the rescheduled start, and with rain still falling at 3pm the game was called off.
Both counties take a point apiece.
Oxon will be hoping for better luck when they face Cheshire at Great & Little Tew on Sunday, May 11.
