There are quite a few Oxford United fans going in fancy dress to tomorrow's final game of the season at Ebbsfleet.
This is a tradition that dates back years, and which many clubs' fans take part in, but it hasn't been seen much recently at Oxford.
But regular U's fan James Wall, from Bicester, says he knows plenty of United supporters dressing up to make an occasion of it in Kent.
"There's about ten of us going in fancy dress that I know of, and I'm hoping a lot of other fans join us.
"It's just a bit of fun and will add to the atmosphere."
A long-time supporter who used to stand in the London Road end at the Manor Ground and who now sits in the Oxford Mail Stand at the Kassam Stadium, Wall said the idea for this bit of drag came several weeks ago.
"It was at a home game a few weeks ago when we were losing and I turned around to people at the back of the Oxford Mail Stand and said: What a terrible season this has been, we've got to do something at the last game to make it memorable'.
"There's me and ten of my mates going in a variety of costumes.
"There's a banana-man, someone going as Elvis - for Billy Turley - and a lot are just dressing up in their mum's clothing.
"We were originally going to go by train, but I think a lot are now going in cars because they don't want the embarrassment.
"But I want to encourage any other United fans out there to join us in fancy dress . . . "
