Corner House A reached the Team Knockout Group A final in the Johnson's Buildbase Oxford & District League with a 3-2 win over Dolphin A at the Horse & Harrow.

With the two sides locked together at 2-2, Alan Lacey beat Jimmy Robson 5,890-1,090.

Mike Jones (6,800) took the opener for Corner House only for Sean Lee (3,710) to level.

Alan Oliver (4,850) restored Corner House's lead, but Dolphin hit back again with Dave Barnes (10,570) setting up the decider.

Corner House now meet Nelson A, who defeated Portcullis 3-1 on the Headington Con Club table.

Keith Sheard (8,690) set Nelson on the way, before Mick Shephard levelled.

But then Steven Sheard (4,580) and Ray Sturgess (9,100) completed victory.

In the Group B semi final, Dolphin B beat Gladiators B 4-1 at the Masons, with Paul Butcher (2,930), Chris Ellam (2,260), Adam Thorn (3,910) and Mel Standbridge (5120) on target.

OXFORD C staged a fightback to beat Oxford Ladies 3-2 in the Inter Area C Team Competition.

Sue Atkins (3,530) and Pauline Withey (5,160, break 5,110) gave Oxford Ladies a 2-0 lead.

But then Billy Hill (8,940, break 7,000), Terry Green (3,730) and Richard Garrett (10,060, break 6,350) stormed back to give Oxford C victory.
