Left-arm seamer Ryan Sidebottom, England's man-of-the-series in their tour of New Zealand this winter, will play for Notts in the three-day game against Oxford UCCE in The Parks starting on Wednesday.
Sidebottom took a hat-trick in the first Test on the way to setting a new record by claiming three five-wicket hauls during the series which England won 2-1.
He picked up 24 wickets during the series at an average of 17.08, taking his number of Test victims to 53.
There is a possibility he will be joined by fellow England bowler Stuart Broad, who also shone in New Zealand.
It means the Oxford batsmen will face an even tougher climax to their first-class season after holding Glamorgan and Middlesex in their two other games.
The fixture will also provide Graham Charlesworth's side with an important test in advance of their upcoming Inter UCCE and British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) fixtures as they seek to regain the title they won in 2006.
